Am I selfish for wanting to have my writing continue to entertain long after I am dead?
There is so much creative work on the internet that I do wonder if anyone else even thinks about this. For writing there are archives or writing sites where you can post your writing, and they never think of taking it down. For the first time ever I came across a writing site that will deactivate your site if you do not login on a regular basis. I deleted my account. What good is it to me to take pains to post my writing if it is inaccessible if I've not logged in after three or four days?
I know of seven writers that I only ever met on the internet that have died and their writing remains. I find this rather beautiful that they have such a legacy.
All that being said, other than Archive of Our Own, the other writing sites I have looked at this morning have to approve EVERY. SINGLE. CHAPTER. of a story I want to post. Do you know how old that gets with a multi-chapter story that is 91 chapters in length?
Protowilson's Severed Comic - Best laugh on the internet!
Kenneth Solfjeld - Just tripped over his gallery and it is beautiful. If you need inspiration, do stop on by.
gilbert8611 - this reminds me of the old Dick Tracy comic. All the features were exaggerated and angular. Very sharp and terrific!
